THE COMMISSION PROCESS
Working step by step with Leah Reusch to create a piece custom made just for you or a loved one.
This process can happen through in-person meetings, over email and phone, or a mixture of the two.
Find the place in your home or in the life of a loved one that would hold a painting well. Decide a size and shape. Don't be shy--fill an ENTIRE WALL!!!
STEP ONE: PICK YOUR SPACE

STEP TWO: SUBJECT MATTER
Name what it is you want in the painting. Whether that be " "poppies," "lemons and marigolds," an "old family portrait," "farming," "my wedding bouquet," or just "to see it and say wow..." past clients have specified all.
Photographs of the surrounding space, favorite objects, general colors and desired shapes are all welcomed input from clients!! After sending sketches and drafts back and forth with clients, there is opportunity for up to two (2) revisions. After this, the parameters will be left somewhat vague and open to ensure that the creative freedom of the painting stays intact.

STEP THREE: PRICING
Pricing is agreed between Leah Reusch and the clients prior to the beginning of the painting process. Clients pay a down-payment (half or less) upon the first meeting, and then pay the remainder upon install.
Most all large-scale commissions like these shown range between $2,000-$7,000+. All people of color and trans people may pay sliding scale (you-price) on any Leah Reusch work.
Leah Reusch is committed to making a living off of selling paintings while also finding a fair price for the people who she works with and cares about.
Name your price range. If your range is below $1,500, Leah will be able to make a smaller piece for you or find an existing piece that could work well for your needs.

STEP FOUR: TIMING AND INSTALL
Most commissions take place over the course of six months to a year, from planning to install. Once your initial agreements about the painting have been made, Leah will give you an estimated completion date in line with her other customers. If you live nearby, install is included.
Most Leah Reusch paintings are BIG! So, many frames need to be built and stretched onsite. Mail works as well. Expect to pay for the cost of shipping. (~$60-150 depending)
